Service Description

Join us at the studio as June returns to guide you through making a beautiful glass dragonfly or butterfly. (You'll will need to clarify which when booking). You don't need any experience, this is a great opportunity to try a different medium to be creative. You will be cutting glass under the guidance of our talented tutor to make a stunning iridescent dragonfly. The finished sized is approximately 7" and the look stunning hanging in the window. You don't need to bring any materials or tools as these will be supplied by the tutor and included in the cost. All you need to do is turn up and bring your creativity. There will be a morning and afternoon session available to book. Places are limited to 10 for this only Dragonfly or Butterfly session in 2024 Your finished work will be taken home by the tutor to fire then slump in her kiln before returning it to the studio for you to collect within a couple of weeks after the workshop. Please wear appropriate footwear as you will be cutting glass. Safety goggles will be provided. Refreshments are provided. Further workshop dates will be available to improve your techniques and enable you to become more creative.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations & Refunds Bookings for the workshops are made months in advance, therefore it can be difficult for me to resell any places at short notice. Workshops require a great deal of planning, financial commitment, supplies and tools, as well as paying staff. As a result, cancellations can result in lost revenue. This will greatly impact on the business. Ideally, I don’t want either of us to be out of pocket. You can cancel your space on a workshop up to two weeks before it takes place. This two-week period allows me the necessary time to try and find someone to fill your place which I will endeavour to do through word of mouth and social media. If I can fill your space you will receive a full refund minus £10 admin fee, to deal with the process of issuing your refund and finding an alternative person to fill your space. However, please appreciate if I am unable to find someone to take your place, you will not receive a refund. I do understand that there are sometimes unavoidable situations so am happy to discuss any exceptional circumstances you may have. To cancel your place on a workshop, please provide me with a written notice via email; jane@fabricpaperscissors.co.uk. Unless I have acknowledged your request, you shouldn’t consider your request delivered! If I don’t respond within three working days, then please send a follow-up email or call me. Refunds will be made in the same way as the payment was made, ie. Payments paid by a credit card can only be refunded to the same card. Cancellations by Fabric Paper Scissors I am entitled to cancel any group or workshop at any time subject to the repayment of any deposit and fees received in respect of the booking which has been cancelled. In the unlikely event of a cancellation by myself or a guest tutor, I will provide a full refund within 5 days of the workshop date. My liability is only for the cost of the class. If the class is cancelled, you are liable for any costs incurred by you including materials purchased in advance, travel or accommodation.
