Exciting Workshop Alert! The fabulous Emily Notman will be in the studio on Saturday, 13th September to guide us through embroidering a beautiful garden scene. This is a brand-new technique from Emily, and we’re thrilled to be learning it together. With a bit of focus and fun, we’re hoping to complete four pieces over the course of the day. Don’t miss this chance to learn something fresh and creative—see you there! In this inspiring new workshop, you’ll explore bonding techniques using beautiful fibres and soft nets to create richly textured textile art. The day begins with colouring your fabric, allowing you to design a unique base that reflects your personal style. You'll then dive into layering a variety of materials—building texture and depth as you experiment with fibres, nets, and bonding methods to develop a tactile, expressive surface. Once your foundation is in place, you’ll learn how to add delicate stitched floral details, using embroidery to embellish and bring your work to life. By the end of the session, you’ll have created a set of beautiful, textured pieces to take home—each one showcasing your creativity and newly learned bonding and stitch techniques. Perfect for anyone looking to expand their textile art skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. All materials are included, as well as refrshements and cake. Please bring your lunch.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations & Refunds Bookings for the workshops are made months in advance, therefore it can be difficult for me to resell any places at short notice. Workshops require a great deal of planning, financial commitment, supplies and tools, as well as paying staff. As a result, cancellations can result in lost revenue. This will greatly impact on the business. Ideally, I don’t want either of us to be out of pocket. You can cancel your space on a workshop up to two weeks before it takes place. This two-week period allows me the necessary time to try and find someone to fill your place which I will endeavour to do through word of mouth and social media. If I can fill your space you will receive a full refund minus £10 admin fee, to deal with the process of issuing your refund and finding an alternative person to fill your space. However, please appreciate if I am unable to find someone to take your place, you will not receive a refund. I do understand that there are sometimes unavoidable situations so am happy to discuss any exceptional circumstances you may have. To cancel your place on a workshop, please provide me with a written notice via email; jane@fabricpaperscissors.co.uk. Unless I have acknowledged your request, you shouldn’t consider your request delivered! If I don’t respond within three working days, then please send a follow-up email or call me. Refunds will be made in the same way as the payment was made, ie. Payments paid by a credit card can only be refunded to the same card. Cancellations by Fabric Paper Scissors I am entitled to cancel any group or workshop at any time subject to the repayment of any deposit and fees received in respect of the booking which has been cancelled. In the unlikely event of a cancellation by myself or a guest tutor, I will provide a full refund within 5 days of the workshop date. My liability is only for the cost of the class. If the class is cancelled, you are liable for any costs incurred by you including materials purchased in advance, travel or accommodation.
