The Fenland Landscape in Felt
Thursday 24th & Friday 25th April 10am-4pm
Service Description
Join us for a two-day workshop with Clare Bullock where we will be using the Unique Fenland Landscape as our inspiration for our felt making. We can always be inspired by a stunning landscape and the changes in a landscape throughout the year. In this 2-day workshop we are going to look at landscapes in a different view. The colours of the Fens will open a vast colour palette for us to work with. We are going to create a traditional landscape from a birds eye view. It’s a great way to record your environment. We will look at patterns, pattern piecing, colours and textures created by using pre-felts which we will make on day 1. These pre-felts will be cut, styled and re-stitched to create a truly contemporary piece of artwork. Once we are happy with our piece, we can stitch into it with a variety of threads and embellishments to enhance and add additional detail and design. This workshop is suitable for all experience levels, even if you’ve never worked with wool fibre to create felt you can come along and learn how to achieve great results. This workshop is for 2 consecutive days. Thursday 24th and Friday 25th April All materials are included in the workshop you just need to bring your lunch, ill provided tea, coffee and cake.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations & Refunds Bookings for the workshops are made months in advance, therefore it can be difficult for me to resell any places at short notice. Workshops require a great deal of planning, financial commitment, supplies and tools, as well as paying staff. As a result, cancellations can result in lost revenue. This will greatly impact on the business. Ideally, I don’t want either of us to be out of pocket. You can cancel your space on a workshop up to two weeks before it takes place. This two-week period allows me the necessary time to try and find someone to fill your place which I will endeavour to do through word of mouth and social media. If I can fill your space you will receive a full refund minus £10 admin fee, to deal with the process of issuing your refund and finding an alternative person to fill your space. However, please appreciate if I am unable to find someone to take your place, you will not receive a refund. I do understand that there are sometimes unavoidable situations so am happy to discuss any exceptional circumstances you may have. To cancel your place on a workshop, please provide me with a written notice via email; jane@fabricpaperscissors.co.uk. Unless I have acknowledged your request, you shouldn’t consider your request delivered! If I don’t respond within three working days, then please send a follow-up email or call me. Refunds will be made in the same way as the payment was made, ie. Payments paid by a credit card can only be refunded to the same card. Cancellations by Fabric Paper Scissors I am entitled to cancel any group or workshop at any time subject to the repayment of any deposit and fees received in respect of the booking which has been cancelled. In the unlikely event of a cancellation by myself or a guest tutor, I will provide a full refund within 5 days of the workshop date. My liability is only for the cost of the class. If the class is cancelled, you are liable for any costs incurred by you including materials purchased in advance, travel or accommodation.
