How about making the most of the summer solstice weekend and really get your hands into the earth? Join us at the studio and get your hands dirty creating a couple of unique pieces. You'll be able to choose 2 items to make at the workshop and you'll be guided through each step to make your items. A Toadstool, Tea Light holder, Pinch pot Slab plate, Small bowl. Decorative Panel This is a great opportunity to have a go at something new and ideal for beginners. Hedgewitch, your tutor for the day will be on hand to guide you through the techniques need to make your own piece. The items will be dried naturally and fired. You will then return at a later date, TBC, to finish your piece by glazing it before it's fired for the last time. It will then be ready to collect from the studio. All materials are supplied but you will need to bring a rolling pin, and an old tea towel and wear old clothes or overalls, you'll get messy! (If you are making a slab plate or small bowl you will need some interesting items that you can press into the clay to make a pattern, i.e leaves, old jewellery, anything that will leave an impression) At the end of the workshop Winny the Wheel will make an appearance, you will be able to take her for a spin and throw your own clay. Refreshments included, but please bring you lunch. If you book both days with Hedegwith (Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd You'll receive a £20 discount.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations & Refunds Bookings for the workshops are made months in advance, therefore it can be difficult for me to resell any places at short notice. Workshops require a great deal of planning, financial commitment, supplies and tools, as well as paying staff. As a result, cancellations can result in lost revenue. This will greatly impact on the business. Ideally, I don’t want either of us to be out of pocket. You can cancel your space on a workshop up to two weeks before it takes place. This two-week period allows me the necessary time to try and find someone to fill your place which I will endeavour to do through word of mouth and social media. If I can fill your space you will receive a full refund minus £10 admin fee, to deal with the process of issuing your refund and finding an alternative person to fill your space. However, please appreciate if I am unable to find someone to take your place, you will not receive a refund. I do understand that there are sometimes unavoidable situations so am happy to discuss any exceptional circumstances you may have. To cancel your place on a workshop, please provide me with a written notice via email; jane@fabricpaperscissors.co.uk. Unless I have acknowledged your request, you shouldn’t consider your request delivered! If I don’t respond within three working days, then please send a follow-up email or call me. Refunds will be made in the same way as the payment was made, ie. Payments paid by a credit card can only be refunded to the same card. Cancellations by Fabric Paper Scissors I am entitled to cancel any group or workshop at any time subject to the repayment of any deposit and fees received in respect of the booking which has been cancelled. In the unlikely event of a cancellation by myself or a guest tutor, I will provide a full refund within 5 days of the workshop date. My liability is only for the cost of the class. If the class is cancelled, you are liable for any costs incurred by you including materials purchased in advance, travel or accommodation.
